Who we are

United Auto Exchange (“UAX,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a wholesale auto auction located at 3710 Prescott Rd., Memphis, TN 38118. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through uaxmemphis.com and related platforms (the “Site”), how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you fill out a form on the Site, we collect the information you submit. Depending on the form, this may include:

• Name, email address, and phone number;
• Dealership name, license number, and state of registration (dealer applications);
• Vehicle information including VIN, year, make, model, mileage, and purchase location (arbitration claims);
• The substance of any message, comment, or question you send us;
• Your communication preferences (email opt-in, SMS opt-in).

We collect the same information whether you fill out a form online or call us directly.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tool receive certain technical information automatically when you visit, including:

• IP address (anonymized by Google Analytics);
• Browser type and version;
• Operating system;
• Referring page;
• Pages visited and timestamp;
• Approximate location derived from IP (city level).

We use this information to operate the Site, understand traffic patterns, troubleshoot issues, and protect against abuse. See the “Analytics and cookies” section below for what Google Analytics specifically collects.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can keep improving it. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that record an anonymous identifier and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you spend on each, the browser and device you use, your approximate location derived from IP, and the referring source. Google anonymizes IP addresses automatically in GA4 and we do not link this information to your personal identity. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles the data. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Outside of Google Analytics, the Site does not use advertising pixels, cross-site behavioral tracking, or fingerprinting. We do not set marketing cookies of our own, do not buy or sell mailing lists, and do not share your personal information with advertisers.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your questions and complete requested actions;
• Process dealer registrations, arbitration claims, and other business requests;
• Send you weekly auction news and other marketing emails - only if you opted in;
• Send sale-day SMS reminders, only if you opted in;
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse;
• Comply with applicable law and legal process.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers and parties listed below, and only as needed to operate the Site and our business:

• Klaviyo, our email and SMS marketing platform. If you opt into our newsletter or marketing communications, your contact information is stored in Klaviyo. See Klaviyo’s privacy notice.
• Google, we use two Google services. Google Analytics receives the technical and usage information described in “Analytics and cookies” above so we can understand Site traffic patterns. Arbitration claim submissions are forwarded to a private Google Form so they reach our arbitration team in the same internal system we’ve used for years. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Vercel, our hosting provider. Vercel processes the automatic technical information described above. See Vercel’s privacy policy.
• Law enforcement or regulators, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• Business successors, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, subject to the continued application of this Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services you requested, maintain business records, and comply with our legal obligations. Marketing list entries are retained until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes.

Your choices and rights

Opting out of marketing

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. To stop SMS messages, reply STOP to any UAX text message. You can also email registration@uaxmemphis.com and we will remove you from all marketing lists.

Access, correction, deletion

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete it (subject to our legal record-keeping obligations). Email registration@uaxmemphis.com.

California residents

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a CCPA request, contact us using the email above.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adult dealers, fleet operators, and related business partners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

The Site is hosted in the United States. By using the Site from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. for processing under U.S. law.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
